MEET OUR PARTNERS
Ellie Anest and Aurelien Roulin met on an international flight where their fated friendship began. The duo shares a passion for creating extraordinary experiences of the highest quality, delivered with an authentic, personalized touch. Soon after their meeting, the two made plans to bring together the qualities of their shared vision, and the concept for the Eleven Eleven wines experience began.
Like any other labor of love, Eleven Eleven Wines took the hard work and dedication of a close and committed team. Philanthropist, volunteer, friend and business partner, Carol Vassiliadis, stepped in to lend a firm footing for starting the winery, and is an integral part of the founding team. Outside of her commitment to Eleven Eleven, Carol has been honored for her support of several philanthropic passions, including cancer research, the arts and education.
Eleven Eleven Wines represents the synchronicity of Ellie and Aurelien's meeting, and the series of events that brought the winery to life with Carol’s partnership. It symbolizes every surprising, awe-inspiring or fated moment that awaits us all. Together with renowned winemaker, Kirk Venge, the team has built a home for their wines at the gateway to Napa Valley.
MEET OUR WINEMAKER
Kirk Venge is one of the most recognized and sought-after winemakers in Napa and Sonoma. He is the owner and winemaker of Venge Estate Vineyards and Winery and the new label, Croix Estate. He is also the Consulting Winemaker for several boutique producers throughout Napa Valley, including B Cellars, Bacio Divino Cellars and the Janzen label, Beau Vigne, Entrepreneur Wines, Hunnicutt Wines, Jax Vineyards, Macauley Vineyard, Renteria Wines and Trespass Vineyards.
“Coming from a long line of winemakers – dating back to my great grandfather, Knud, grandfather Per and father, Nils – you could say that farming and wine making is in my blood. It was with great excitement that I came across Eleven Eleven, where I can best utilize my skills and creativity. In fact, I had coveted the property and vineyards that Ellie, Carol and Aurelien were savvy enough to secure, and it was with enthusiasm that I agreed to cultivate their fruit. My winemaking focus has always been ‘vineyard first’ and the Eleven Eleven vineyards are prime real estate for compelling winemaking.”
