Brett Weis

Director of Winemaking & Operations

Brett Weis

Brett Weis grew up in a small town outside of Seattle, WA and attended the University of Washington, where he earned a Bachelor's degree in Sociology and Spanish. After college, Brett spent time traveling the world, working abroad, skiing, and exploring. California called him and he spent time in Tahoe for a few winters/summers skiing and golfing. While visiting his winemaking family in Napa, he was exposed to the wine business. Both winemaking and grape growing sparked his interest. He then took an opportunity to work a harvest at Groth Vineyards and Winery in Oakville. His excitement about the wine business led him to enroll in Graduate School at Oregon State University, where he studied Enology and Viticulture.

Two years later he returned to California and spent five years growing grapes with the Antinori family on Atlas Peak. Wanting to return to wine production, Brett joined Eleven Eleven as Assistant Winemaker in 2015, where he partnered with Kirk Venge to make the portfolio of wines and manage a newly formed custom crush clientele. In 2019, Eleven Eleven expanded its production facility, and Brett was promoted to Associate Winemaker. Brett is currently the Director of Winemaking and Operations, responsible for the custom crush production, property operations, and the Eleven Eleven wine portfolio. He resides in Napa with his wife, Tracy, daughter Bella, son Brady and his pet dog, Willa. When he is not making wine he loves to ski, golf, and play his guitar.
