2018 Dutton Ranch Chardonnay
Dutton Ranch, Russian River Valley
The wine is brimming with zest, freshness, and layers of flavor. In the glass, the wine has a golden hue and displays ripe aromas of pear and pineapple followed by scents of vanillin and butterscotch that bring a warmth to the nose. The palate continues along with a round mouthfeel and presents flavors of baked golden apple, cinnamon, and nutmeg. The bright lingering finish balances these savory flavors exquisitely.
Our 2018 vintage is the perfect example of a balanced Chardonnay with classic characteristics. The Dutton Ranch Mill Station Vineyard boasts 45-year-old dry-farmed vines. The cooler climate at this site allows the grapes to ripen slowly and supports a naturally higher acidity.

Food Pairing Notes
We are always excited about the diversity of food that pairs well with our Chardonnay. Enjoy this wine with a fatty cheese like Camembert or Cowgirl Creamery Red Hawk. Or, serve it with the main course of lemon rosemary chicken finished with a dessert pairing of baked apple tartine.

“Mill Station is one of my favorite Chardonnay vineyards for quite simple reasons. The difficult qualities that the Station possesses produces great grapes. It’s wet, cold, windy and quite simply harsh. These old vines bear the burden each year to mine flavors of rich bright citrus and slight salinity from the powdery Goldridge soils that they are planted in. It’s a perfect terroir for creating a classic!” - Kirk Venge, Winemaker
